Hey-Hi-Howdy! Welcome to my little corner of the internet. I’m Ahbriyana, and I’m thankful that you’re here!

This site is my “babygirl”, a personal journal of mosaic chaos — a love letter to womanhood in all its idiosyncrasies and contradictions. Think of it as the after-hours salon for the grown, glowing, and occasionally unhinged; a digital girl’s night or hair salon where we yap about the serious and unserious.

Here, you’ll find my innermost thoughts, my creative works, what I’m designing, researching, or reading. It’s for the women who are soft and complicated, holy and curious, smart and a little chaotic.

We read Beverly Jenkins & Kennedy Ryan like they’re self-help books. Watch “Just Wright”, “Sinners”, and “Princess & The Frog” frequently. Underline lines in Toni Morrison books; blast 90s & 2000s R&B in our earphones and talk about what it means to be a woman who wants a relationship with Christ and wants to feel deeply in her skin, without inhibition.

Here, I intend on talking soft yet thinking loud — about girlhood’s ghosts, grown femininity, Black American history, a church girl’s woes, and growing in the south.
